A Note from the Author...

(an excerpt from pg. 1)

This drama curriculum is designed for a group of students (6th grade – adults). There is a teacher edition so the teacher can walk alongside students as they go through the process of writing a playscript and give extra instructions. The first and fifth chapters (or Staves as Charles Dickens calls them) are written as a playscript for you to use as an example and to get the ideas flowing. Students will work on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Staves so you can focus on the scenes with the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, to write the remaining portion of the script. Students can be broken up into smaller groups or work together one Stave at a time.

Students have permission to use the portions of the scripts given as examples in this edition for their own plays. Please keep in mind that this curriculum is protected under copyright and should not be shared with others, so please have each student purchase their own curriculum. Please send students to homeschooldrama.com so they can purchase and download their own copy. Thank you!

Have fun writing your own play with a team!
